EatAPeachAllmansTest5 SongMango.comThe fifth volume of the AllmansTest™ shines a light on the eclectic, blues-infused 1972 double album, Eat A Peach – a mix of both live and studio tracks, some with Duane and some (sadly) without.

The LP represents a crossroads for The Allman Brothers Band – a tragic slice of rock history that cuts deeply into the hearts of music-lovers everywhere. During the recording sessions that would ultimately yield Eat A Peach, Duane would die from a motorcycle accident right there in the band’s stomping grounds of Macon, GA. His unspeakable death devastated the band, but the surviving members battled on with broken hearts. A little more than three months after Duane’s passing, Eat A Peach was released.

The Brotherhood would play on, but it would never be the same after Skydog left the building. Rest in peace.
