Check out the 13-year-old guitar prodigy, Derek Trucks, onstage ripping away in 1993. He opened for The Allman Brothers Band on July 4th of that year at the Walnut Creek Amphitheatre in Raleigh, NC. Derek would become an official member of The ABB in 1999.

Derek’s other projects include, the Grammy-winning Derek Trucks Band and The Tedeschi Trucks Band, which he formed in 2010 with his wife Susan Tedeschi. He’s now an old-timer at 36.

Damn, that kid can play!
